About The Event
Saxophonist and educator Brent Rose has been quietly making waves in the New Orleans music scene for more than a decade now. A 2021 Grammy Award winner (with the New Orleans Nightcrawlers) and current professor and Chair of the University of New Orleans School of Music, he is a widely sought-after performer and studio musician. In addition to playing with Chegadão and the Joe Krown Organ Combo, Rose's professional career has also included time with Quintology, Galactic, Nicholas Payton, The Temptations, Flavor Kings, New World Funk Ensemble, and of course, The New Orleans Nightcrawlers. In his focus on Latin music, Brent co-leads the popular local Cuban band Muévelo with Margie Perez.
Sets at 7:00pm and 8:30pm.

FREE for students & staff. Admission proceeds benefit the students of the Jazz Studies program at UNO.
