For over 10 years, the New Orleans Jazz Celebration produced a yearly event called the Satchmo Club Strut. The goal of the event was to create a greater awareness of the Frenchmen Street Corridor by attracting thousands of people to the venues for a unique club crawl to kick off the Satchmo SummerFest weekend celebration. As we know, Frenchmen Street has become one of the most popular destinations in New Orleans, diminishing the need for the NOJC presented event.
