About The Event
Colossus Brass Band is a high-energy New Orleans ensemble led by award-winning trumpeter Mark Braud that brings a bold, contemporary edge to the city’s storied brass band tradition.
Blending second line rhythms, funk grooves, hip-hop influences, and modern jazz sensibilities, Colossus delivers powerful horn arrangements and driving percussion that ignite festival stages, clubs, and street parades alike. Rooted in the cultural heartbeat of New Orleans, the band honors the legacy of classic brass while pushing the sound forward with fresh originals and inventive takes on crowd favorites.
