Mark Brooks is one of New Orleans most talented and sought after bassists and vocalists. Mark attended Southern University in Baton Rouge where he earned a music degree along with two of his closet friends, Donald Harrison Jr. and Branford Marsalis, who as well moved on to further their professional careers. Dr. John, The Neville Brothers, Fats Domino, Henry Butler, Charles and Aaron Neville’s Ensemble, Lou Rawls, David “Fathead” Newman, Preservation Hall Jazz Band and The Maryland Jazz Band Of Germany. Mark can also often be seen playing at Preservation Hall and Palm Court Jazz café.
